The metals we use have one trait in common : they will endure through time and all conditions. They stay true and remain the same over their nearly infinite life.
We use mostly titanium and tantalum, and on custom requests platinum and 18kt gold. These metals are all extremely durable and boast the perfect characteristics that we look for : durability, biocompatibility, chemicals resistance, mechanical resistance, strength, resilience and beauty. Platinum and 18kt gold bear the french hallmark of authenticity.
TITANIUM
Titanium is our metal of choice. Dubbed the metal of titans, it displays a beautiful, subdued grey color. It is extremely durable, with the highest strength to weight ratio of any known element.
It resists corrosion, is very light and comfortable to wear. It is also hypoallergenic and biocompatible, perfect if you have sensitive skin. We use both grade 2 titanium (pure titanium) and grade 5 titanium, depending on the design. Grade 5 titanium in particular is mechanically stronger and is perfect for some of our mechanisms.
TANTALUM
Tantalum shares titanium's durability, corrosion resistance and hypoallergenic properties.
The main differences come from the density and unique color. Tantalum is heavy and has a strong presence, but what truly sets it apart is that it's a naturally dark grey metal, which is beautiful and unique in the world of jewelry.
PLATINUM
950 Platinum is a stunning, pristine white metal, with a purity of 95% (the standard for fine platinum alloys). It is the king of precious metals. It never loses color, resists corrosion, doesn't oxydize and doesn't change shape. Scratches also cannot remove material from its surface (they only displace it), so it's very durable and perfect for daily wear.
Being hypoallergenic, it's perfect if you have sensitive skin.
GOLD
18kt Gold is the best gold alloy in terms of durability and wearability. It is robust, hard enough that it resists scratches and dents (contrary to 24kt gold which is too soft for example), and pure enough (75% gold content) that it is biocompatible.
